Toll Express Parcel Freight Facility, Bungarribee NSW

Costin Roe Consulting recently congratulated Toll Group, Australia’s largest freight carrier, on the completion of their new $170 million express parcel freight facility, the largest express parcel freight depot in Australia.

The new facility in Bungarribee, north west of Sydney, was officially opened in July 2014 by the Minister for Industry, the Hon. Ian Macfarlane MP, Toll Group Managing Director Brian Kruger, and Toll IPEC Executive General Manager Rodney Johnston.

Costin Roe Consulting is proud to have served as the consulting civil and structural engineers for the highly automated, 80,000 sqm facility where incoming parcels are efficiently scanned, weighed, and sorted for delivery with tremendous savings in manual handling time and administration costs. Sorting capacity is an unprecedented 35,000 parcels per hour at the 53,000 square metre facility built for Toll on an 18-hectare site where 600 employees are to be located at present with capacity to allow for future growth.
