Woolworths National & Regional Distribution Centres, Moorebank

OVERVIEW

CRC provided civil and structural engineering services for the Woolworths national and regional distribution centres on behalf of Richard Crookes Constructions. The warehouses are semi-automated facilities with high bay ASRS, case buffers, and robot palletisation to deliver pallets directly to the stores. With cutting-edge automation and 75,000 sqm of floor space (almost five times the SCG playing field) across both sites, the DCs allow the client to offer its customers an expanded range and improved stock availability in-store.

Valued at $129M and $175M, the facilities also include an interconnecting conveyor, and a pedestrian bridge connecting the two buildings.
