Costin Roe Charity Golf Day 2015

One of the most enjoyable and worthwhile events on the Australian property and construction industry calendar is the annual Costin Roe Consulting Charity Golf Day, held for the sixth successive year at Avondale Golf Club, Pymble, on Wednesday 2 December 2015.

The weather in Sydney was perfect for a great day of golf between friendly competitors representing firms including The GPT Group, JK Geotechnics, CDLF Accounting, and Curwoods Lawyers. Course sponsors were Dukes Painting, Costin Roe Consulting, and Strata Engineering Solutions. Prize sponsors included Pritchard Lees and Costin Roe Consulting. Stylish new company-branded polo shirts worn by the Costin Roe Consulting and Strata Engineering Solutions team members also made their official debut.

Once again, Wheelchair Sports (NSW) was the nominated recipient of proceeds from charity fundraising efforts and this year’s inspirational guest speaker was Angie Ballard, Wheelchair Sports (NSW) ‘Athlete of the Year’, a four-time Paralympian currently preparing for her fifth Paralympic Games. Competing internationally in the sport of wheelchair racing (athletics) since the age of 16, Angie reached a new level of success in 2015 by breaking two world records in May (T53 400m, 800m) and recently coming home from the  IPC World Athletic Championships having won gold for the 200m and 400m, and bronze for the 800m. With Rio de Janeiro in her sights, Angie hopes to add a gold medal to her five other medals from previous Paralympics. Currently holding a NSW Institute of Sport scholarship, Angie trains at Sydney Olympic Park under the guidance of her coach, Louise Sauvage.

Individual prize winners were awarded with a box of golf balls each:
