Clients, project partners, colleagues, friends, and associates of Costin Roe Consulting attended the 7th annual Costin Roe Charity Golf Day event on 7 December 2016 at Avondale Golf Club, Pymble NSW with all proceeds dedicated to Wheelchair Sports (NSW).
The weather in Sydney was mild and sunny when registered participants teed off in friendly but competitive spirits at the 7th annual Costin Roe Consulting Charity Golf Day for another successful and enjoyable event.

Guest after-dinner speaker, Jake Field
Costin Roe’s annual golfing event has a long history of association with Wheelchair Sports NSW, the recipient of proceeds from the various fundraising initiatives which give the event its ultimate raison d’etre.
In previous years, guest speakers on behalf of Wheelchair Sports NSW have included the celebrated Paralympian athlete, Angie Ballard (2014), and rising star of wheelchair tennis, Keegan Oh Chee (2015). The 2016 guest speaker, Jake Field, is not only an outstanding achiever in the world of wheelchair sports but also an ‘industry insider’.

Jake Field is a member of Wheelchair Sports NSW and participant in the WS NSW Wheelchair Rugby programme. Jake has also represented the GIO NSW Gladiators through the 2016 Fierce4 Rugby season. Taking part in all 3 rounds, including a National Championship victory in August, Jake has gone from strength to strength in the sport and is now taking part in the Australian Development programme.
Introduced to the sport in 2013 by Wheelchair Sports NSW, Jake came up through the local training programme and the NSW based Sydney Slam Series. Three years on Jake has won a National Championships, played alongside Rio Gold Medallists Ryley Batt and Andrew Edmondson, and also took out Best Rookie at the Fierce4 National Championships in August. Jake has travelled internationally with his rugby, representing NSW at the 2015 New Zealand National Championships and being part of an Australian “barbarians” team which took part in the inaugural 2015 Bali 4’s, held in Sanur, Indonesia. Outside of rugby, Jake works full-time for Mirvac as part of the Health Safety Environment Team.
