A brick retaining wall some 100 years old was suffering the ravages of time and an altered landscape above.
We designed a solution which involved excavating behind the wall, installing a drainage system to eleviate pressure from ground water, and pouring a stabilised sand mass behind the wall onto the same foundation as the wall, all tied to the retaining wall with ‘helifix’ ties.
Neat, clean and no need to encroach onto the neighbours’ property.
