Big W Cessnock

Cessnock

The design and documentation of the Big W development at Cessnock comprised of a 6000m square Big W store and an 1800m square bulky goods facility.

The project involved building hard up against and drainage canal and ensuring support of the structure within the zone of influence of the canal.

The structure consisted of concrete bored piers and partially suspended adjacent to the canal, and the remainder was on pad footing. The walls were cast on site large tilt up panels supporting large open spans to allow flexibility for big w fit out.
